This course is designed for those responsible for preparing and slinging regular loads using lifting gear and working load limit (WLL) tables.
Key Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate knowledge of hazards, hazard control, and lift planning.
- Controlling load hazards, potential hazards, and risks.
- Explain lift planning concerning the people actively involved in the lift and the people in the area of operations.
- Describe lifting equipment in relation to its type, purpose and use.
- Tie knots using natural or synthetic ropes to control loads.
- Identify the recognised stop signal, per the Approved Code of Practice, that is used to communicate with a crane operator during a lift.
